Slam Lab, a pioneering USA-based company at the forefront of medical and dental device innovation, developed a groundbreaking mouthguard aimed at enhancing professional athletes’ performance. To complement this revolutionary mouthguard, Slam Lab required a cutting-edge sterilizing solution, and they approached Silkbridge to design and produce a high-tech UV sterilizing carry case. The case had to be not only functional but also safe, while incorporating advanced features for both sterilization and data management.
The UV Sterilizing Carry Case
Our team at Silkbridge took on the challenge of designing and manufacturing a UV sterilizing carry case tailored specifically for Slam Lab’s innovative mouthguard. The highlight of the design is its lightning bolt button, which allows users to activate the UV LEDs and sterilize the mouthguard within 60 seconds. This rapid sterilization feature ensures that athletes can use a clean, hygienic mouthguard after every game or practice session, significantly reducing the risk of infections.
Built-in Safety Features
Given the potential risks associated with UV exposure, we incorporated crucial safety mechanisms into the case’s design. The UV LEDs automatically switch off whenever the case is opened, ensuring that athletes or trainers are not exposed to harmful UV rays, which could damage their eyes. Smart Integration for Data Management

Enhanced Oral Hygiene Features
In addition to its sterilization capabilities, the carry case features a spray bottle attached to the back that dispenses a mint-flavored mouthwash as a mist.
